NFC East injury report: Cowboys' rushing attack fine after DeMarco Murray sprains foot

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

DeMarco Murray had to leave the Dallas Cowboys' Week 6 game against Baltimore after spraining his foot and will undergo an MRI Monday to test the severity of the injury.

DeMarco Murray left the Dallas Cowboys' game against the Baltimore Ravens with a sprained foot, but his absence didn't stop his team's rushing attack from being effective.

Murray left the game in the second quarter after hurting his foot, having already run for 94 yards on 14 carries. After his exit, Felix Jones added another 92 yards on the ground with Philip Tanner adding another 31 yards. Murray's injury is not believed to be overly severe, as he was not in a walking boot after the game, but he is slated to have an MRI Monday to test the severity of the injury.

Defensive end Sean Lissemore also left the game for the Cowboys, as he hurt his ankle in the team's loss. He was replaced by Tyrone Crawford, who at that point was the only healthy reserve defensive end left on the roster. The extent of Lissemore's injury is unknown.

The New York Giants, Washington Redskins, and Philadelphia Eagles all managed to escape their games without significant injuries, but they're still dealing with issues from past weeks: Kenny Phillips, Andre Brown, and Rocky Bernard are questionable for the Giants' Week 7 game with various injuries, while Pierre Garcon will have the same status for the Redskins.
