Terrell Suggs may return to practice this week for the Baltimore Ravens.

Baltimore Ravens star linebacker/defensive end Terrell Suggs might be back in practice this week in hopes of playing in short order, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Suggs has been out all year with a torn Achilles, but has said all along that he would return sooner rather than later. The Arizona State product was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list before the year started, but is now eligible to come off since Week 6 is in the books.

The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year is desperately needed by Baltimore, who just watched cornerback Lardarius Webb fall to a season-ending ACL injury.

On top of that, it appears linebacker Ray Lewis could also be out until 2013 with a torn triceps, and nose tackle Haloti Ngata will likely miss a bit of time with sprained knee ligament.

The Ravens play the Houston Texans next week, a team with no shortage of offensive ability.
