Asante Samuel has a few thoughts on Andy Reid and the Eagles

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Eagles traded Samuel earlier this year.

Asante Samuel is having some fun with Andy Reid and his decision to fire Eagles defensive coordinator Juan Castillo. The Eagles traded Samuel earlier this year, sending him to the Falcons for a 7th round draft pick. Though Reid never said it, it was reported that the Eagles coach thought Samuel was a declining player.

The Falcons are now 6-0 so Samuel's response to Reid firing Castillo:

At some point...he's gonna be right. Doesn't every new season seem like the year Andy Reid will get fired?

But this hasn't been a bad trade for Asante. The Eagles are losers of three of their last four games, one of the worst offenses in the NFL and fired their defensive coordinator.

Meanwhile, the Falcons have a 3.5 game lead in the NFC South through Week 6.
