Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
The Cowboys are 2-point favorite heading to play the Carolina Panthers, who are looking to end a three-game losing streak.
The Dallas Cowboys opened as a 2-point favorite over the Carolina Panthers, and most betting services have held that line, with just a few dropping it to a single point as the Cowboys head to Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte Sunday afternoon. Both teams are coming off of losses - Carolina has dropped three straight but had a bye last Sunday, while the Cowboys blew a lead at Baltimore to lose their second straight game.
Against Carolina, the Cowboys are solid against the spread, according to OddsShark. Dallas is 8-1 against the spread when playing the Panthers, and have won the last four meetings between the two teams. Statistically, the Cowboys hold an edge in every category except average rushing yards per game, with the Panthers and mobile quarterback Cam Newton holding a 114-99 advantage.
The Panthers have struggled to find consistency on offense this year behind Newton, and have had been held under 14 points three different times this season already, two of those games coming at home.
