Jim O'Connor-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
The Saints travel to Tampa, where points have historically come at a premium in this NFC South rivalry.
The New Orleans Saints finally ended their winless streak before hitting a bye week, and will now look to take their first conference and division game this Sunday afternoon at Tampa Bay, where the Saints are 3-point favorites.
Despite these two teams' recent fortunes (New Orleans is 13-2 against the Bucs in their last 15 meetings), this rivalry has been close in the last three meetings. The Saints split the season series with Tampa last year, losing 26-20 as the visitors, the first Bucs win over New Orleans at home since 2008.
Also, OddsShark points out that points are usually thin when these teams meet, as the teams have hit the under in the last seven games. But be warned, in the Greg Schiano era, the Bucs have hit the over each week of the 2012 season. In their last ten meetings, the teams are split evenly against the spread. The Saints are only 2-4 against the spread so far this year.
