The Detroit Lions open as seven-point underdogs when they travel to Chicago to take on the Bears on Monday night.
The Chicago Bears open as seven-point favorites when they welcome the Detroit Lions to town for Monday Night Football in a NFC North battle. The line has since moved down to six points at most sportsbooks.
Chicago boasts the NFL's top-ranked scoring defense and have forced an impressive 17 turnovers, while Detroit's offense has not produced at the same level it did last year.
The Lions are coming off a win against the Philadelphia Eagles, which was the first time this season they covered the spread, winning 26-23 as 3.5-point underdogs. The Bears are coming off a bye, but are 4-1 overall and 4-1 against the spread. The only game they did not cover was their Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
The total for the game opened at 47.5 points. Despite Chicago's stout defense, the Bears have hit the over in three of their five games; the Lions have also reached the over in three of five contests.
