Experts weigh in on who will win the Week 7 showdown between the Cowboys and Panthers.
Two teams simply looking to get back into the win column face off as the Carolina Panthers host the Dallas Cowboys at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday, and experts are favoring Dallas.
The Cowboys are on the road for the second straight week after a crushing two-point loss to the Baltimore Ravens, one of the best teams in the league. Despite having one of the NFL's best defenses, including the top-ranked passing defense, Dallas is just 2-3 on the year. Tony Romo leads the league's sixth-best passing offense by completing 67% of his passes.
At 1-4, the Panthers are on a three-game losing streak but are coming into the game off a bye week. Carolina's passing defense has been marginal, allowing 250 passing yards per game. On offense, quarterback Cam Newton is completing only 59% of his passes and also leads the team in rushing yards.
Most experts are tabbing the Cowboys as the winners of this matchup. At ESPN.com, 11 of the 14 predictors are taking the Cowboys, including the Accuscore and fan picks. CBSSports.com's pickers are less clear, but five of eight are still picking Dallas, while all four of Yahoo!'s pickers also have the Cowboys winning.
