I'm signing with the San Diego Chargers!!! God is great!— Danario Alexander (@D_Alexander84) October 18, 2012
After a productive career at the University of Missouri, Alexander spent two seasons in St. Louis. He showed a few flashes of brilliance, but battled injuries and was released prior to the start of training camp. At 6'5, Alexander has a rare combination of size and speed, but he's battled knee injuries dating back to his college career. He also missed parts of training camp this season with a hamstring injury.
He played in 18 games over two seasons with the Rams, including seven starts. Alexander has 46 career receptions for 737 yards and three touchdowns. After being released, he worked out for the Buffalo Bills in September, but didn't sign.
In San Diego, Alexander will join a receiver group which has some injury issues of its own. Vincent Brown remains out with an ankle injury while Malcom Floyd has missed practice recently with a groin injury.
