Saints tight end Jimmy Graham did not travel with the team for their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and will miss the game with an ankle injury.
The New Orleans Saints will be without star tight end Jimmy Graham on Sunday when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Pro Football Talk. Graham injured his ankle against the San Diego Chargers, and did not make the trip to Tampa with the team. The team was hoping he would be able to recover during the bye week, but it would seem that his ankle was not cooperating with the Saints' plans.
Graham is New Orleans' third leading receivers, with 25 catches for 252 yards. He's second on the team in touchdowns with three, so the Saints will have to rework their game plan to make up for the large hole Graham will be leaving in it.
The Saints sit at 1-4, and in last place in the NFC South, so the game against division rival Tampa is one they desperately need to win if they want to make a run for a playoff spot.
