The Minnesota Vikings will try to start a new winning streak when they host the Arizona Cardinals in a Week 7 matchup between two 4-2 teams. The Vikings attempted to pull off a comeback last week, but Robert Griffin III quickly extinguished their hopes of a win and snapped their three-game winning streak. The Cardinals, on the other hand, enter Week 7 trying to break a two-game losing streak, and they'll have a new quarterback under center.
Kevin Kolb, who managed the Arizona offense to a 4-0 start, was hammered in back-to-back losses to the Rams and Bills. He's out for an unspecified period with a rib injury, and John Skelton will take the reins again. The Vikings had injury concerns of their own, as both Adrian Peterson and Jared Allen sat out of practices this week. Both stars are expected to play, however, as Allen will be a crucial part of Minnesota's game plan to get to Skelton and rattle the Cards' quarterback in the dome.
Pass rushers have abused the Cardinals' offensive line, and the Vikings' defense is unlikely to let up. It's completely stunted the Arizona offensive progress in the past two weeks. Those disconcerting losses and Minnesota's undefeated home record resulted in the oddsmakers listing the Vikings as 4½-point favorites. With the turnover at quarterback for Arizona, that line has gone to a touchdown in many places.
