Blaine Gabbert was finally playing well, but after suffering a left shoulder injury, he's sidelined and backup Chad Henne is in.
Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert has left his team's game against the Oakland Raiders with a left shoulder injury. According to the team's Twitter account, Gabbert is questionable to return. Backup quarterback Chad Henne has taken his place and isn't doing too hot. The Jaguars are up 17-6 at halftime.
Gabbert was 8/12 for 110 yards and threw a beautiful touchdown pass to Cecil Shorts, giving the Jaguars some momentum against the Raiders. Once Henne came in, things didn't go so well. Though the Jaguars have the lead, Henne is 1-5, and has run once for a negative yard. Maurice Jones-Drew has also gone down with an injury, though his backup, Rashad Jennings, has scored a touchdown.
Entering Week 7, Gabbert has thrown for 796 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions and is at 54.6 percent on his attempts, and the Jaguars are 1-4. Still, Gabbert is the future for the Jags, and this year is crucial for his development. They hope he gets back on the field soon.
