Maurice Jones-Drew injury: RB is walking boot, using crutches on sideline

MJD's injury appears to be worse than first thought.

Maurice Jones-Drew is on the sideline, using crutches, with a boot on his left foot following the injury early in Sunday's game that saw him leave the field.

Initially trainers were working with him and taping Jones-Drew's ankle, but he was quickly carted off the field. Officials are simply calling it a 'foot injury', which could run the gamut from a simple sprain, or something far worse. Either way it's unlikely any information will be released today, and tomorrow's press conference is likely the best bet to learn MJD's status.

His replacement, Rashad Jennings has not been very successful today as the Jaguars lean on him to get them through this afternoon's game. Late in the third quarter, he has totaled 45 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries-- which is an unimpressive 2.6 yards per carry.

Today the Jaguars lost MJD, and quarterback Blaine Gabbert, two huge blows to an already struggling offense.
