Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson left Monday night's game with a knee injury.
Burleson was injured while making a catch during the third quarter against the Chicago Bears. His knee appeared to get caught as he was being tackled from behind. He immediately grabbed his knee and was later seen limping on the sideline while being attended to by a trainer. He was taken back to the locker room on a cart for further examination. The team said he had a knee injury and was questionable to return to the game.
The catch he was injured on was his first catch of the game. He was targeted three times in the game, dropping a potential first down earlier in the game. Burleson entered the game as the Lions' third-leading receiver with 26 receptions for 224 yards.
Rookie Ryan Broyles replaced Burleson in the lineup and quickly caught a 16-yard pass, the first reception of his NFL career.
