The Green Bay Packers are a 16-point home favorite against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8.
The Green Bay Packers are currently a whopping 16-point favorite heading into their Week 8 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Lambeau Field. According to OddShark, the Packers opened as 12.5-point favorites, but that number has grown in the past few days.
The total for the game is set at 45.5 points. Given the combination of Green Bay's explosive offense (26.3 points per game) and Jacksonville's porous defense (27.3 points allowed per game), that's a number that the Packers could potentially get close to on their own. This is especially the case now that Aaron Rodgers and co. have seemingly found their groove. Since getting off to a somewhat slow start, the Packers offense has averaged 31.8 points per game in the last four weeks.
Like their defense, Jacksonville's offense has struggled, averaging just 14.7 points per game on the year. Green Bay's defense has some issues, but with Maurice Jones-Drew out and Blaine Gabbert banged up, the Jaguars' offensive struggles are likely to continue.
