NFL lines and odds Week 8: Raiders vs. Chiefs

Cary Emondson-US PRESSWIRE

The Oakland Raiders travel to Kansas City as one-point underdogs against the Chiefs.

The Kansas City Chiefs (1-5) welcome the Oakland Raiders (2-4) on Sunday in a game that most are expecting to be a low-scoring, close affair.

The Chiefs are just one-point favorites over the Raiders, with coach Romeo Crennel announcing on Monday that Brady Quinn will be the team's starting quarterback moving forward. The Chiefs, coming off a bye in Week 7, lost 38-10 in Quinn's first start in the regular season since 2009.

The Raiders, meanwhile, recorded their second win of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars, needing overtime for a 26-23 victory. Oakland has struggled this season against the run, especially on the road, and face one of the best teams in the NFL when rushing the ball at home.

Vegas expects this to be a low-scoring affair, considering the offensive struggles for both team, with the line currently set at 41.5. According to OddsShark.com, the Raiders are 6-3 straight up against the Chiefs in their last nine games in Kansas City.

The Chiefs face the Raiders on Sunday, with kickoff set for 4:05 p.m. ET with coverage on CBS.
