NFL odds Week 8: Falcons vs. Eagles

Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE

Despite an undefeated record, the Falcons are underdogs on Sunday.

The Atlanta Falcons might be the only team in the NFL with an undefeated record, but on Sunday, they will be the underdog against the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite three fewer wins, the Eagles are one-point favorites.

Although the Falcons are 6-0, they barely beat the Carolina Panthers, Washington Redskins and Oakland Raiders before their bye week. But the Eagles have struggled and lost, dropping three of their last four games.

The teams, though, should be well-rested as both are coming off of their bye week.

A season ago, the Falcons recorded a home victory over the Eagles, 35-31. It was Atlanta's first victory over Philadelphia since 2005.

With their 6-0 record, the Falcons have been the smarter pick in 2012. They have covered the spread in four of their games, while Philadelphia has done so just twice. Atlanta is 3-0 against the spread on the road this season.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field.
