The third-year running back could be an attractive trade chip at the deadline, but the Saints interim head coach says he isn't going anywhere.

The New Orleans Saints are not interested in trading running back Chris Ivory before the NFL's trade deadline on Oct. 30, according to interim head coach Joe Vitt, via Katherine Terrell of NOLA.com:

Ivory hasn't carried the ball for the Saints this year, despite being healthy and available to play. The Saints' backfield of Pierre Thomas, Darren Sproles, and Mark Ingram has been injury-free in 2012, which has left the three-year pro as the odd man out.

Ivory carried the ball 79 times for 374 yards and one touchdown for New Orleans in 2011. He had a breakout game on Jan. 1 against the Carolina Panthers in which he rushed 19 times for 127 yards and a touchdown. With several teams in need of help in the backfield, a back with the upside that Ivory has could be an attractive trade chip.
