The Indianapolis Colts improved to 4-3 on Sunday after running back Vick Ballard scored an amazing overtime touchdown to clinch a 19-13 win. The Colts ran a throwback screen, with quarterback Andrew Luck running to his right, planting, and throwing back across the field to Ballard. The rookie from Mississippi State took it down the left sideline, but it appeared he'd be stopped short of the goal line, inside the five-yard line. But he went up and over the top, spinning in mid-air and coming down inside the pylon for the incredible touchdown. An animated gif of the play:
The score abruptly ended the game under the new sudden-death overtime rules. Had the Titans held the Colts to three, they would have received a shot to answer on offense. But Ballard's score ended it early, providing Andrew Luck his first career win on the road. The victory also snapped a 10-game Indianapolis road losing streak.
