With the trade deadline Tuesday, Titans tight end Jared Cook has requested a trade.
Tennessee Titans tight end Jared Cook has requested a trade, according to The Tennessean's Jim Wyatt.
The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday.
Cook, 24, is in his fourth year in the league, all with the Titans. In eight games this year, and only three starts, Cook has 28 catches for 373 yards and two touchdowns. He's averaging 46 yards per game.
Cook is second on the Titans in receiving. Only Kendall Wright (40) has more catches and Nate Washington (443) has more yards. Washington and Wright also edge Cook in touchdowns, with three apiece.
The former third-round pick out of South Carolina appeared in all 16 games for the Titans last year. He hauled in 49 catches for 759 yards and three touchdowns.
In his career, Cook has 115 catches for 1,567 yards and six touchdowns.
The Titans are 3-5 this season. Tennessee is coming off a 19-13 loss to division rival Indianapolis.
The Titans host Chicago (6-1) on Sunday.
