Jake Roth-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
Matt Hasselbeck will start for the Titans this week after Locker suffered his second shoulder dislocation of the season.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker has been ruled out for Week 5 because of a shoulder dislocation, according to John Glennon of The Tennessean. Matt Hasselbeck will start in Locker's place against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday. Locker's status is "uncertain" going forward.
Titans head coach Mike Munchak says that at this point it does not look like Locker will need surgery to repair his dislocated shoulder. Locker first dislocated the shoulder in Week 1 while trying to make a tackle against the New England Patriots. He suffered a second dislocation in last Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans. An MRI has shown no structural damage.
Hasselbeck went 17-for-25 with 193 passing yards after replacing Locker against the Texans. He threw for two touchdowns and two interceptions as well. Locker has completed 63.2 percent of his passes in 2012. He's thrown for 781 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Tennessee is 1-3 on the season.
