It should come as a surprise to no one, but Jaguars starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert says his team is just fine at the position and has no need for Tim Tebow.
Tim Tebow trade rumors are setting the internet aflame with just over 24 hours to go until the NFL trade deadline. Talk of Tebow to the Jacksonville Jaguars has been squelched more than once since the beginning of the week. On Wednesday, Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert weighed in on the subject.
In a conference call with Detroit media -- the Jags play the Lions this week -- Gabbert said, "I think we're pretty satisfied here at QB."
Head coach Mike Mularkey waived off the Tebow talk as well, telling the press that "those rumors fly around here monthly."
Tebow was reportedly a target of the Jaguars back in the spring, when the Broncos shipped him off to the New York Jets.
Gabbert, a first-round pick in 2011, was 27 for 49 with 303 yards and a touchdown in a Week 8 loss to the Green Bay Packers. For the season, Gabbert is completing just 55.6 percent of his passes with 1,209 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions.
