Coby Fleener injury: Colts TE out 2 weeks

Thomas J. Russo-US PRESSWIRE

The Indianapolis Colts will be without their starting tight end for the next two weeks.

Colts rookie tight end Coby Fleener will miss the next two weeks after suffering a shoulder injury in the team's overtime win against Tennessee on Sunday, according to Philip Wilson of the Indianapolis Star.

Fleener hurt his shoulder on a 9-yard reception in the second quarter after which he left the game.

Fleener has 21 receptions for 222 yards in seven games this season.

The Colts selected Fleener 34th overall in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Stanford, pairing him with his college quarterback Andrew Luck.

The 4-3 Indianapolis Colts will host the Miami Dolphins at home this week in a battle between two teams led by 2012 first round quarterback selections.

The Dolphins' passing attack is averaging 212.0 yards per game which ranks 23rd in the league. The Colts are averaging 265.9 yards passing which ranks ninth in the league.

Wilson is also reporting that defensive back Vontae Davis is expected to miss two weeks.
