The San Diego Chargers are unanimous favorites on Thursday night against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The San Diego Chargers (3-4) welcome the Kansas City Chiefs (1-6) for a Thursday night AFC West showdown that most are predicting won't exactly be thrilling television.
The Chiefs have struggled mightily on offense and will make yet another change at quarterback, with Matt Cassel stepping back under center as the starter with Brady Quinn out with a head injury. Considering how inept the Kansas City offense has been with either quarterback on the field, it's not surprising to see the Chargers are unanimous favorites in the game according to those at Yahoo! Sports.
Joel Thorman of SB Nation piles on, relaying the fact that Kansas City has not held a lead in regulation yet this season and needed overtime for their lone victory. Thorman is predicting a rout on Thursday night, with the Chargers winning 31-10.
OddShark.com's computer models also skew favorably for the Chargers, predicting a straight up victory as well as a win against the spread for San Diego.
The experts at CBS Sports agree, with a unanimous selection of the Chargers to win the game. Against the spread, however, only four of the eight experts are picking San Diego to cover. The Chargers are currently 8.5-point favorites.
Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on Thursday at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, with national television coverage on NFL Network.
