Week 5 NFL lines and odds, Bears vs. Jaguars: Chicago favored against Jacksonville

Tim Heitman-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Chicago Bears are the favorites entering the Week 5 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Entering Week 5, the Chicago Bears (3-1) are favored to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3) at an opening line of three points by SB Nation's oddsmakers. Sports betting site OddsShark.com has the line at a margin of five, with the total at over 40.

Coming off an impressive showing against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, Chicago has scored 34 or more points in half their games this season and have defeated all but one opponent by lopsided margins. In total, the Bears have outscored their opponents, 108-68 this season.

Jacksonville will be entering the game on the back off a 27-10 defeat at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals. The Jaguars have been outscored by opponents 62-97 and have allowed at least 17 points in all four games this season. In addition, the team's defense is ranked in the bottom portion of the league in the majority of major statistical categories.
