NFL picks Week 5: Chargers vs. Saints

The Saints might be off to a disappointing 0-4 start, but that hasn't deterred most NFL experts from picking them to defeat the Chargers on Sunday night.

The New Orleans Saints and San Diego Chargers will take the field in New Orleans for a Sunday Night Football matchup in Week 5, and NFL experts appear to think that the Saints will snap their four-game losing skid and topple the Chargers.

CBS Sportsline's stable of eight experts has six picking the Saints, while Will Brinson and Josh Katzowitz pick the Chargers to come out on top.

The "brain trust" at ESPN has unanimously picked the Saints to win, although five of the network's 13 experts have not submitted picks for Week 5 games.

Mike Silver and Jason Cole of Yahoo! are picking the Saints to win.

SB Nation's own Joel Thorman is picking the Chargers to win Sunday's contest by a score of 34-30. Thorman writes:

This should've been one of the week's best games, but the Saints screwed it all up and started 0-4. I have no idea what to make of that team. The offense doesn't look like they should be 0-4, but the defense is horrible. Their best defensive performance came when they allowed 27 points to the Chiefs, 21 of those unanswered. San Diego is coming off a defensive performance where they forced six turnovers. A tale of two different teams right now.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on NBC.
