Larry Johnson arrest: Ex-NFL RB denies strangling allegation

Ex-NFL running back Larry Johnson was arrested early Friday morning in Las Vegas after allegedly strangling a woman until she almost blacked out, according to TMZ.com.

In the police report obtained by TMZ, Johnson supposedly told the hotel security guard "I will rip your f*****g vocal cords out" when he responded to the commotion.

However, Johnson claims the woman is lying about what truly happened. According to Johnson, the woman in question wouldn't leave his hotel room after a night of partying at Bank Nightclub, before kicking and slapping him when he tried to make her exit.

Johnson also told TMZ, "I know people will try to pass judgment on me from my previous record, but I didn't do what I am being charged with."

The dispute continued., according to Johnson, once she was outside of his room, as she attempted to kick the door down. Despite telling the police this story, Johnson claims they would hear none of it before arresting him.

Johnson has had trouble with the law before. The second-leading rusher in Kansas City Chiefs history has been arrested multiple times for offenses that include allegedly spitting in a woman's face in a club and waving a gun in his (then) girlfriend's face.
