The Minnesota Vikings host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Can the Vikings extend their winning streak?
The Minnesota Vikings hope to extend their winning streak to three games as they host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at Mall of America Field. The Vikings are coming off of a 20-13 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 4.
Adrian Peterson led the ground attack in that game, rushing for 102 yards on 21 carries. Quarterback Christian Ponder completed 16-of-26 passes for 111 yards to set up two field goals by kicker Blair Walsh. Both touchdowns in the game were on special teams, a 105-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Percy Harvin and a 77-yard punt return for a touchdown by Marcus Sherels.
The Titans are coming off a 38-14 loss to the Houston Texans. In that game, quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, replacing an injured Jake Locker, completed 17-of-25 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns but also threw two interceptions. Running back Chris Johnson ran for 141 yards on 25 carries as well.
