Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Packers running back Cedric Benson suffers apparent ankle injury against Colts.

Green Bay Packers running back Cedric Benson appeared to suffer an ankle injury in week 5 against the Colts and is being examined by medical staff on the sideline. Fantasy owners themselves suffered an early blow when John Kuhn got the goal-line carry for the Packers first touchdown of the day and now they'll have to ask themselves whether or not Benson could be out for the rest of the game or longer.

Benson was last seen going into the locker room on a cart, so it does not look very good for him for the rest of week 5 and he leaves with 20 yards on seven carries. Second-year running back Alex Green could be getting the majority of the carries for the rest of the game, but with the Packers that's usually not very many carries.

However, this is against the Colts and it's already 14-0, so anything is possible.
