A close defensive battle was altered with a fumble to start the second half
In a close defensive battle between the Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers, a single turnover can be all the difference. Such was the case when Leon Washington fumbled the kickoff to start the second half, as linebacker Jason Phillips wrenched the ball out.
This interrupted a big return, as Washington looked to be off to the races prior to the tackle.
The Panthers were unable to make the most of the turnover, and the score remains 6-3 in favor of Seattle.
