Alex Smith has 237 yards and two touchdowns at the half after a 28-yard score to Michael Crabtree, proving that with the Bills defense that anything is possible
Stop me if you've heard this one before: Alex Smith is really playing like a franchise quarterback today.
Yeah, nobody stopped me. But I guess that the Bills defense can really help a quarterback continue to lose the 'bust' label after Smith, the top pick in 2004, cuts through the secondary like butter. Smith ends the half with 237 yards on 12-of-15 passing and this touchdown pass to Michael Crabtree, giving Smith a pair of scoring throws.
The Bills are also going to try and drop the "bust" label from Crabtree, who has 103 yards at halftime. It is just the fourth 100-yard game of Crabtree's career. What else can the Bills do for the 49ers today?
