NFL inactive list, Week 5: Chargers vs. Saints

Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

New Orleans wide receiver Lance Moore and San Diego kicker Nate Kaeding are on the inactive list for the Sunday night game between the Saints and Chargers.

The New Orleans Saints have the third-best passing attack in the NFL, but quarterback Drew Brees will be without his top target against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday night. Wide receiver Lance Moore is on the inactive list thanks to a hamstring injury. Kicker Nate Kaeding leads the list of inactives for San Diego.

Moore has 19 catches for 287 yards and two touchdowns in four games. Moore missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday after suffering the injury to his right hamstring against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4.

Kaeding is suffering from a right groin injury and will miss his second consecutive game. In Week 4 against Kansas City, Nick Novak filled in for Kaeding and hit all four extra point attempts and was a perfect 3-3 on field goals, including a long of 47 yards.

The full Saints-Chargers inactive list is as follows:

New Orelans

RB Curtis Brinkley, DE Antonio Garay, G Tyronne Green, K Nate Kaeding, LB Jonas Mouton, SS Brandon Taylor, DB Shareece Wright
