The Jacksonville Jaguars were blown out at home by the Chicago Bears on Sunday, leaving Jaguars fans wondering if time is running out on Gene Smith and Blaine Gabbert in Jacksonville
The Jacksonville Jaguars were blown out at home for the second time this season, but the first at the hands of the Chicago Bears, losing by the score of 41-3. Absolutely nothing went right for Jacksonville on Sunday, from the offense to the defense.
Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert struggled mightily against the Bears defense, completing 17 of 33 passes for just 142 yards. The young quarterback also threw two interceptions, both of which were returned for touchdowns.
The performance leaves Adam Stites of SB Nation's Jaguars blog, Big Cat Country, wondering if Jaguars GM Gene Smith and Gabbert are running out of time.
Barring a monumental difference between these Jaguars and the ones that come out to play after the upcoming bye week, the Gene Smith and Blaine Gabbert may be approaching their ends sooner than later.
On the other end, Jacksonville's defense allowed over 500 total yards and were scorched all game by wide receiver Brandon Marshall. The talented wide out caught 12 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown.
As aforementioned above, the Jaguars will have a bye week to right the ship and show signs of improvement heading into Oakland for a game against the Raiders.
