It wasn't easy, but the New Orleans Saints put one up in the "W" column at last on the strength of Drew Brees' historic, record-setting night. Brees led the Saints to their first win of the season after four-straight losses and in the process broke Johnny Unitas' touchdown record.

Canal Street Chronicles is also pleased by the production Brees received from his wideouts, Marques Colston and Devery Henderson. Colston, who reeled in nine receptions for 131 yards and three touchdowns, is now the Saints career reeving touchdown leader with 51, passing Joe Horn. Henderson also had a strong performance with 123 yards and a touchdown on eight catches.

However, what's most important to Saints fans is New Orleans finally getting a win after a tumultuous offseason and start to the regular season.

But what's better than any records is the victory, hopefully the first of many more.

The Saints will have to wait to continue the good vibes and make it back-to-back wins as they now head into a bye week.
