Robert Griffin III will return to practice on Wednesday, according to report

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III passed cardio and agility tests on Tuesday and will practice with the team on Wednesday and be evaluated after practice, according to a team source. If Wednesday's practice goes well, RGIII should start on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Griffin suffered a concussion in the third quarter of the Redskins' 24-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and did not return to the game. Fellow rookie Kirk Cousins replaced Griffin and led the Redskins on a touchdown-scoring drive, but was unable to lead Washington to the win. At the time of the hit, RGIII did not know the score or quarter of the game, but coach Mike Shanahan said he was feeling much better after the game.

Griffin will not be subject to contact in Wednesday's practice and will be re-evaluated after each practice before the Redskins deem that he is ready to go on Oct. 14 against the Vikings. RGIII was named Rookie of the Month for September and has a quarterback rating of 101.0 on the season, with four touchdowns each through the air and on the ground.
