Dorsey apparently aggravated a calf injury that had kept him out of action since Week 3.

Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey was injured late in the second quarter of the team's Thursday night game against San Diego.

Dorsey could not return to his feet after a Philip Rivers pass deep in Chiefs territory late in the first half. He immediately grabbed his calf and needed the assistance of Chiefs medical personnel to leave the field. As of yet, there is no word on if he will return.

Dorsey returned to action for the first time in five weeks tonight, after sustaining a calf injury in the Chiefs' Week 3 game against New Orleans. He had been listed as questionable throughout the week.

Should Dorsey be unable to return to action, backup defensive tackles Ropati Pitoitua and Allen Bailey are likely to replace him. Pitoitua is in his fourth season out of Washington State. Bailey is a second-year man out of Miami.

The Chiefs trail the Chargers 10-3 at halftime.
