Chiefs vs. Chargers: Philip Rivers makes it easy for Eric Berry

Chris Graythen

Rivers can't make this pass.

Oh, Philip Rivers.

The Chargers faced a third and goal from their one 1-yard line with 21 seconds remaining in the half. They were already in field goal position so there was no need to take any risks -- see if the touchdown is there and if not take the three points.

Enter Philip Rivers who, for some reason, gave this one to Eric Berry, allowing the Chiefs safety to pick it off and take points off the board for San Diego.

Rivers was 14-of-14 at one point in this game. His final two passes were a throwaway with 35 seconds remaining -- a smart move considering San Diego was in field goal range -- and then this interception.
