Tampa Bay looks to maintain winning ways against San Diego Sunday.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-4) will attempt to keep their two-game winning streak alive Sunday afternoon when they host the San Diego Chargers (4-4). Tampa Bay is currently second in the NFC South, four games back of Atlanta. San Diego sits one game behind Denver in the AFC West.

Two weeks ago, Tampa Bay was floundering at 2-4, facing back-to-back road games against Minnesota and Oakland, four games behind Atlanta in the NFC South and miles away from wild card contention. The Bucs took both of those away games, however, and though they have not gained any ground on the undefeated Falcons, they are now just a half-game back in the chase for the NFC's second while card position. Tampa Bay has completed the turnaround with its offense, which ranks fifth in the league in scoring and averaged 37.75 points per game in their last four.

San Diego was also fading as it entered last week, having lost three consecutive games and fallen to 3-4. A dominant victory over the hapless Kansas City Chiefs evened the Chargers' record and left them still in contention in the AFC West. Quarterback Philip Rivers has thrown for 1,866 yards and 12 touchdowns through eight games, but his 10 interceptions have opened him to some criticism.
