Denver's biggest receiving threat was injured late in the first half.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas left the field on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers with an apparent left knee injury.

Attempting to drive down the field late in the first half, Thomas got his leg caught under him on a third-down passing play, and remained on the field for several minutes before limping to the sideline with the assistance of Denver trainers. There has been no update on Thomas's condition, though the receiver appeared to be in a lot of pain heading to the half.

Denver's leading receiver with 814 yards, Thomas is vital to the Broncos' ability to move the ball down field. Without him, Peyton Manning and company rely on a short-ball offense, emphasizing yards after the catch.

If Thomas is unable to return, 14-year veteran Brandon Stokley will be relied on to start opposite Eric Decker. With a touchdown already today, Stokley is playing well when needed, but doesn't offer the big-play ability of Thomas.
