Nick Foles stepped onto the field accompanied by a chorus of cheers following Michael Vick's injury, and the crowd upped the decibel level when Foles threw the first touchdown of his NFL career.
That's really only half the story, because I think literally any NFL quarterback could have made the throw. The coverage was blown so poorly that this was essentially a Turkey Bowl play, and 80% of Foles' passing yards came on this one broken play-- but let's not major in minors, let's celebrate a touchdown folks!
yay.
As a replacement so far, Foles has shown a bizarre lack of arm strength. Lofting, wavering throws have been the story of the day, for a quarterback who was typically known pre-draft as having a good arm.
