On Sunday, Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch joined Adrian Peterson as the first runners to reach 1,000 yards on the season. Lynch reached the milestone against the New York Jets -- as of this writing he has 27 carries for 124 yards and a touchdown. A lost fumble is his only blemish on the game, and it was his first of the season.
Lynch becomes the first Seahawk to run for over 1,000 yards since Shaun Alexander in 2005. Since being traded from the Buffalo Bills, he has quickly established himself as the face of the franchise, which has been desperate for a viable running game ever since Alexander declined.
Lynch now has his fourth-straight 100 yard game, and his sixth of the season. He has scored a touchdown in three straight games now. He's averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Oh, and he'sl only 26 years old.
What I'm trying to say here is that Marshawn Lynch is really good.
