Nick Foles will reportedly make his first career start on Sunday as Michael Vick recovers from a concussion.

The Philadelphia Eagles will start rookie Nick Foles at quarterback on Sunday as Michael Vick recovers from a concussion, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Vick left Sunday's game against the Cowboys after taking a hit from a Dallas defender on a short run. He missed the rest of Sunday's game and head coach Andy Reid called the concussion "significant" on Monday. Foles replaced Vick against Dallas and completed 22 of 32 passes for 219 yards and one touchdown.

The plan to start Foles against Washington comes after reports indicated the Eagles might shut Michael Vick down for the rest of the season. According to a report from Yahoo! Sports, a source said he was "99 percent sure" the Eagles would rest Vick for the remainder of the season.

The 23-year-old Foles was a third-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He was a prolific passer at Arizona and played well during the preseason. If he does take over as the Eagles starter, he won't get eased it, since his first three starts would be on the road.
