Garrard climbed to the top of the depth chart for the Dolphins in training camp before a left knee injury sidelined him and required arthroscopic surgery in August to repair. In his absence, rookie Ryan Tannehill earned the starting spot for the Dolphins and Garrard was released shortly thereafter.
Glazer reports that Garrard says he is fully recovered from the knee injury and is confident that he is ready for action. The news comes shortly after a Week 10 in the NFL that featured game-ending injuries for Jay Cutler, Michael Vick, Alex Smith and Ben Roethlisberger.
Garrard has not seen the field since being released by the Jaguars prior to the 2011 season. In nine seasons with the Jaguars, Garrard accumulated 16,003 passing yards with 89 touchdowns and 54 interceptions.
