The St. Louis Rams are slim favorites against the New York Jets in Week 11 action.
The St. Louis Rams opened as one-point favorites against the New York Jets for Sunday's game at the Edward Jones Dome, and that line has opened a tad to 3.5 across the board, according to OddsShark.com. The total opened at 38 and grew to 38.5.
This one will pit two sluggish offenses against two bottom-half NFL defenses. New York's defense ranks 24th in the NFL and gives up 25.3 points per game, but St. Louis only puts up 17.9 points per game, which is good enough for 28th in the league. The Jets do little better on offense, as they average 19.4 points per game. The Rams defense gives up 23.3 points per game.
Both teams have struggled straight up and against the spread in the recent weeks. New York is 0-3 straight up and 1-2 against the spread in their past three games, and St. Louis did little better at 0-3-1 straight up and 2-2 against the spread in the Rams' last four outings.
The Rams, however, are 5-0 straight up in the past five home meetings against the Jets.
