The Falcons will try to rebound from their first loss of the season, while the Cardinals aim to snap a five-game slide when the teams square off on Sunday.
The Atlanta Falcons will try to shake off the only blemish on an otherwise perfect season, while the Arizona Cardinals will make an effort to snap a brutal five-game losing streak when the teams square off at the Georgia Dome on Sunday.
The Falcons (8-1) are coming off a disappointing 31-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints last Sunday. Despite the loss, Atlanta still has a comfortable three-game lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South. Powered by a potent passing attack led by quarterback Matt Ryan, the Falcons are averaging 27.4 points per game. They might have to lean a bit harder on their running game on Sunday, as the Cardinals boast the second-best pass defense in the NFL.
Arizona (4-5) has lost five consecutive games after a perfect 4-0 start and are 9.5-point underdogs against Atlanta. The Cardinals have had trouble putting points on the board all season, especially in their last games. They have mustered just 10.6 points per game during their five-game losing streak.
