Andre Johnson has over 100 yards at the half

Larry French

The Jaguars have no answer as Andre Johnson dismantles their defensive backs.

At halftime, the Jacksonville Jaguars have no answer for Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson, who heads to the locker room with seven receptions and 132 receiving yards.

While Johnson has yet to score, he and Matt Schaub remain in step, and it's these 132 yards that have allowed Schaub to find other receivers for short touchdowns. This total should only increase as the Jaguars and Texans find themselves tied at the half.

In watching this game, one gets the sense that it's a matter of time until the dam breaks. All day, Johnson has been getting a step on the Jacksonville defensive backs, and with Schaub throwing accurately (68 percent completion), this should only continue. Another factor in getting Johnson touches is the relative ineffectiveness of Arian Foster, who has just 44 yards on nine carries entering the half. The Texans seem content to lean on their passing game.
