St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola was injured in the second quarter against the New York Jets, but he has returned from the foot injury. The Rams trail the Jets midway through the third quarter.

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola has returned to the field after being injured earlier in Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

The wide receiver limped off the field in the second quarter under his own power. After trainers were examining his right foot on the sidelines, his return was announced as questionable by the Rams.

Amendola had four catches on six targets before the left the game. He had picked up 16 yards before the injury.

This season, Amendola has been a frequent target for Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, catching 43 passes for 497 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Amendola has had injury issues before in his four-year NFL career. He has played in five games this season and played in just one last year before missing the rest of the season with a dislocated elbow.

The Rams trail the Jets, 13-7, midway through the third quarter at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo.
