Dennis Pitta suffers a concussion on a big hit after a key third-down conversion and will not return.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta has suffered a concussion against the Pittsburgh Steelers and will not return to action on Sunday night.

Ed Dickson will take over for Pitta on the night as the Baltimore Ravens look to keep pace with the Houston Texans in the race for the AFC's top playoff spot against their AFC North rival, the Steelers.

Pitta suffered a big hit on a key third-down catch that helped the Ravens score their first points of the game on a Justin Tucker field goal.

Pitta came into the game with 37 receptions on the year for 376 yards and three touchdowns, and had only that one catch for five yards on the night. In relief of Pitta, Dickson had caught one pass from Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco for two yards.

The Ravens are up, 10-7, on the Steelers in the early parts of the second quarter from Heinz Field on Sunday night.
