Experts are split on the outcome of this week's contest between two top NFL playoff contenders.
Experts are split on their predictions for the outcome of this week's clash between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants. Both teams harbor playoff ambitions, with the Steelers 4-3 and Giants 6-2. Both teams feature Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks playing near the height of their abilities. Pittsburgh has struggled on the road this season, going 1-3 so far, and the Giants are 3-1 at home, but otherwise these teams are mirror images of each other.
SB Nation NFL expert Chris Thorman gave the benefit of doubt to the home team, taking New York to win 21-20. The OddsShark.com score predictor tilts further in favor of the Giants, anticipating a 33-27 New York win. Two of three Yahoo experts select the Giants, as does the Yahoo users poll, but the CBS Sports panel is split on the outcome.
The Giants and Steelers are scheduled to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET, with television coverage on CBS.
