Neither the Saints or the Eagles have been strong this season, and the experts are all over the place with their picks for Monday night's game.
The Eagles have started the season 3-4, while the Saints are currently at 2-5. Both teams were considered to be among the better teams in the NFC when the season started, and both could use a win on Monday night.
The game is a tough one to call, as there doesn't appear to be a real trend with the media outlets in their picks for the game. The 12-man panel at ESPN is split down the middle, with six experts taking the Eagles and six taking the Saints. Both Accuscore and Pick 'em like New Orleans to win the game.
CBS Sports managed to find a majority, with five of their eight writers selecting the Eagles to win. Two out of the three writers at Yahoo! also took the Eagles, but the Yahoo! users like the Saints on Monday night.
SB Nation's own Joel Thorman likes the Saints to win the game, and he had the following to say about his selection:
"I remember a time when the Eagles and Saints were both popular picks to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. That seems like a long, long time ago. Now, the Eagles are in a quarterback controversy, and the Saints are recovering from an 0-4 start. New Orleans misses Sean Payton but they won't need him when the Eagles turn it over four times. The pick: 35-21, Saints"
The Saint and Eagles will kick off Monday night in New Orleans at 8:30 p.m. ET. It can be seen on ESPN.
