Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson has missed every practice this week, but he is still expected to play on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Calvin Johnson (knee) has missed every team practice this week, but he is still expected to play in Week 9 when the Detroit Lions take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mike O'Hara, a contributing columnist at DetroitLions.com, says Megatron is on track to play despite missing so many practices:

Johnson has battled knee soreness throughout the season, and so far there has been a noticeable dip in his production. Despite his status as one of the top receivers in the NFL, Johson has just one touchdown catch in 2012, which came back on Sept. 23 against the Tennessee Titans.

Through seven games, Johnson has caught 41 passes on 74 targets, for a total of 638 yards (to go with that lone touchdown grab). Detroit still has the No. 2 passing offense in the NFL, but the offense has spent plenty of time playing from behind. Meanwhile, Jacksonville is ranked No. 23 in defending the pass.

The Jaguars host the Lions in Week 9. The game is set for 1 p.m. ET and it will be broadcast on FOX.
